Standing with Saddam

In this editorial called “Standing with Saddam,” the Washington Post joins the growing ranks of those appalled by French cynicism when it comes to Iraq. Personally, I am less appalled by France’s conduct than by the fact that we gave France the opportunity to be an actor at all when we opted to let the U.N. Security Council play a significant role in our dealings with Iraq.
