Tony Blair’s badge of honor

I don’t like much about Britain’s Labour Party, and I don’t believe in the UN, but I admire political courage in the service of a just cause. Tony Blair has earned the right to walk with Churchill’s ghost as he did in his speech to his party and his country yesterday: “I do not seek unpopularity as a badge of honour. But sometimes it is the price of leadership. And the cost of conviction.”
Reader Gary Larson forwarded the complete text of Blair’s speech: “I want to solve the Iraq issue via the United Nations.”
