Oscar Protests Predicted

Tomorrow night’s Academy Awards show promises to bring back memories of the bad old days when self-absorbed “stars” used the show as a forum to promote their half-baked political views. The Herald Sun reports:
“It also emerged some stars — including Dustin Hoffman, Julianne Moore, Jim Carrey, Ben Affleck, Michael Moore and Kirsten Dunst — were planning to wear peace sign pins, dove emblems and even duct tape to protest the war.”
I wouldn’t have watched it anyway, of course, but now I’ll make a point of boycotting the show. Sort of like giving up brussels sprouts for Lent.
