Debka Says U.S. Lacks Troops for Attack on Baghdad

Debka File’s most recent report, just posted, says that the American hope that Iraq’s high command would fracture, resulting in mass surrenders, has not materialized. As a result, current American troop strength is not enough to take Baghdad, and reinforcements are being summoned. According to Debka, sandstorms will shut down operations south of Baghdad for several days, and major combat is unlikely before Saturday–at which time the biggest battle since WWII may take place.
Debka also has an interesting account of the destruction of a Syrian bus by an American missile. The incident, according to Debka, was no accident. The bus contained Palestinian militants en route to join Saddam Hussein and it was destroyed to ensure that more Palestinians do not seek to enlist in the Iraqi cause.
