CIA Assets Caught, Killed

This UPI report says that three Iraqis who cooperated with the CIA in arranging the March 20 attempt to kill Saddam Hussein have been caught by Iraqi counterintelligence and killed.
The report says that the U.S. has had CIA paramilitary teams in Baghdad since June 2000, and currently has several hundred special forces, CIA and Delta Force operatives in Iraq. Among other things, they are trying to find and kill the thirty top officials of Saddam’s regime. The consensus seems to be that Saddam was injured, but not killed, in the March 20 strike, and that his son Qusay was killed. Part of the U.S. strategy is said to be goading Saddam into making public appearances in hopes that he can be assassinated.
