The words of John Kerry

Running for president as a decorated war veteran, Senator John Kerry vowed he wouldn’t say anything that would adversely affect the morale of our troops in Iraq. On March 11 Kerry said, “I remember being one of those guys and reading news reports from home. If America is at war, I won’t speak a word without measuring how it’ll sound to the guys doing the fighting when they’re listening to their radios in the desert. It’s what you owe the troops.” Then the war started, Howard Dean flanked Kerry on the left, and Kerry chose to sacrifice the morale of the guys doing the fighting to his political ambition. As a JFK wannabe, he ain’t exactly a profile in courage. The Washington Times carries the story: “Republicans say Kerry broke vow not to attack Bush.”
