Real Clear Politics has collected the latest poll data on President Bush’s job approval and the direction of the country. All of the most recent polls have President Bush over 70% (the highest is the Washington Post/ABC poll at 77%), except for Zogby, which continues to be suspiciously out of step (I say suspiciously because of Zogby’s outspoken Arab sympathies.)
Somewhat more surprising, perhaps, are the right direction/wrong direction polls. They had been deep in negative territory since the beginning of the year, but turned around as soon as the fighting started in Iraq, and are now solidly in the black. Just another indication, I guess, of how little impact the antiwar movement has had, notwithstanding the amount of noise it has made.
