If you thought Rob Reiner’s rock mockumentary “This is Spinal Tap” was one of the funniest movies of all time, as I did, you proably won’t be able to resist seeing the folk-music version version of that movie released this week, “A Mighty Wind.” Here is Steve Sailer’s take on “A Mighty Wind.”
As I post this note, I am listening to the Boston radio station WUMB and its weekly show of (mostly) sixties (mostly) folk/rock music, “Highway 61 Revisited,” with host Barnes Newbury. The show runs Saturdays from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. (Eastern time) and is available over the internet via the Web site of WUMB Folk Radio. If you have a taste for this music at all, do give the show a try.
