The Weekly Standard Web site has made several of the best articles from the new issue out this morning available online. My choice is Joel Kotkin and Fred Siegel’s “The redistribution of honor.” The Kotkin-Siegel article brilliantly describes and helps us to discern a phenomenon that is occurring before our eyes.
David Brooks explores a related theme in “The collapse of the dream palaces.” To forecast the likely domestic political impact of recent events, Brooks asks us to consider their effect on representative 20-year-old “Joey Tabula-Rasa.”
