Hugh Hewitt on the Blair Democrats

Hugh Hewitt gets right to the heart of the fallacy in Will Marshall’s Washington Post op-ed on the so-called Tony Blair Democrats. Unlike Blair, these Democrats — Kerry, Edwards, and Gephardt — exercised no leadership. They never challenged “the bitter anti-war delegates of their own caucus.” Instead, “they simply maneuvered.” As Hewitt concludes, “it is an insult to Tony Blair’s leadership in the war to compare it to the wind-blown maneuverings of Kerry, Edwards, and Gephardt.”
