So Much for the Road Map

The road map doesn’t appear to have survived the first turn, as violence continues today. An Israeli strike in Gaza killed seven people and wounded 29 more; Hamas responded by saying it has ordered “all military cells” to take immediate action and carry out more attacks on Israelis. Hamas also urged foreigners to leave Israel “for their own safety.”
Meanwhile, Ariel Sharon called the leaders of the Palestinian
Authority “crybabies” for saying they can’t use force against the terrorists, and described Abbas as a “chick that hasn’t grown its feathers yet.”
Presumably none of this is a surprise to President Bush and his aides. So far, however, there is no indication of what Plan B might be.
