A secret plan?

On National Review Online Saul Singer sees “A secret plan” shared both by President Bush and Prime Minister Sharon in pursuing the “road map.” The key points highlighted by Singer’s apparently respectful reading of the plan are conditional in the extreme. The dismissive words Norman Podhoretz recalls his grandmother spitting out at him and his self-impressed Columbia University classmates during his days as a college student seem appropriate to me: “Smart, smart, smart, smart, stupid!”
