The latest populist wannabe

Here is the Washington Post’s profile of Howard Dean. The piece doesn’t seem to warrant any comment except, perhaps, for this: a conservative who performed as poorly as Dean did on Meet the Press and who committed as many additional gaffes as Dean has would be dismissed by the press as too stupid for the presidency; Dean, however, is merely labeled “brash” and his errors are attributed to the fact that he’s a fast talking ex-New Yorker.
