In his important column on Iraq in the Los Angeles Times Max Boot identifies the parallel with Vietnam: “[T]he real parallel with Vietnam is the disparity between battlefield realities and home-front perceptions.” His column is “Winning the peace, quietly.” And Mark Steyn notes in his Chicago Sun-Times column that “Predators aren’t looking for peace.”
