Blair Gets Poll Bounce

Tony Blair hasn’t had much to cheer about lately, but recent revelations about the BBC scandal and the falsity of Andrew Gilligan’s claim that Blair’s administration “sexed up” the Iraq dossier may finally be sinking in. The latest poll, reported in the Times, indicate that Labor is now at 39%, up 5 points from a month ago, while the Tories are at 34%. And Blair’s personal approval rating is up from 4.92 to 5.14 on a ten-point scale. With the worst of the attacks presumably behind him, Blair appears to have weathered the storm.
