Myths of racial profiling, part 2

Our friend D.J. Tice of the St. Paul Pioneer Press took a look for himself at the racial profiling report covering traffic stops and searches by 65 Minnesota law enforcement agencies for the year 2002. We posted our own analysis of the report two weeks ago as “Myths of Racial Profiling.” I think it’s fair to say that Tice’s column, although couched in a more moderate tone than our analysis, suggests the same conclusions as we reached: “Racial profiling data not as clear cut as they seem.”
