Slippery Indeed

Many conservatives have pointed out that the Supreme Court’s recent decision striking down sodomy laws was premised on a principle so broad that it would equally justify incest, bigamy, etc. These objections were universally sneered at by liberals. Prematurely, it seems: “Utah Polygamist Invokes Ruling on Gay Sex.” This particular criminal defendant will probably lose for procedural reasons, but the logic of his appeal is irresistible under current jurisprudence.
