Relegate the Israeli left, not Israel

A few weeks ago I wrote about how, in European soccer leagues, the bottom teams are “relegated” each year to a lower league. Noting that Israel’s Labor Party is now only the third biggest party in the Knesset, our friend Joshua Sharf suggests that something similar to relegation is the fate of “Israeli political parties who fare poorly in peace leagues, real or fantasy.” This, I suppose, is because a severe form of relegation would be the fate of Israel, should it sign one of these fantasy deals.
