Speaking of Joshua Sharf,

his fine Colorado based blog View From a Height has been all over the story of the Colorado Supreme Court decision declaring the Republican redistricting plan to be contrary to the state’s constitution. His latest offering notes that several Colorado legislators, including a Democrat, have filed a suit in federal district court in order to overturn the state court ruling. Off-hand, I’d say one shouldn’t get one’s hopes up regarding that suit. A better bet, I would think, is the more conventional approach of appealing the state court decision to the U.S. Supreme Court. But that route too may be problematic.
