Chief Moose reports

Dave Kopel and Paul Blackman have subjected the apologia pro vita sua of Chief Charles Moose to the close analysis it deserves. They think it casts retrospective illumination on his performance in the sniper investigation, and should be taken into account by the folks in Minneapolis who have included Moose in the field of seven finalists for the city’s chief of police. National Review Online has given the piece a heading that reflects the Kopel/Blackman evaluation of the book: “Moose Bull.”
