Noemie Emery suggests that Al Gore’s endorsement of Howard Dean is a leading indicator of Dean’s coming crash. She writes that after the apprehension of Saddam Hussein, “Gore’s move was as brilliant as plunging headlong into the stock market in late September 1929.” Emery’s consideration of Gore is one of the good pieces from the new issue of the Weekly Standard: “The Gore curse.”
