Good news for Kerry

The Concord (New Hampshire) Monitor has endorsed him for president. The editorial consists mostly of attacking President Bush and discussing Kerry’s war record. When it comes to actually explaining why the paper is endorsing Kerry instead of his rivals, we get one sentence: “Only Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts has well-reasoned and rock-solid answers to every question, foreign or domestic.” To be fair, Kerry actually does seem quite knowledgeable, and certainly knows more about issues and public policy than Dean or Clark. But on the most important issue of the Bush presidency — what to do in Iraq — Kerry’s answers have been shifty, not rock solid.
