In his capacity as managing editor of the Claremont Review of Books, our friend Ben Boychuk received an advance copy of Hugh Hewitt’s important new book If It’s Not Close, They Can’t Cheat: Crushing the Democrats in Every Election and Why Your Life Depends on It . In his capacity as a contributor to the Infinite Monkeys blog, Ben has reacted adversely to Hugh’s comments on the blog in the book. He has made a partially successful effort to rise above his disappointment with the comments and provide an interesting preview of the book: “We’re so vain, we probably thought the book was about us.”
