When “take a hike” is not enough

Charles Krauthammer on the latest political contretemps — the “F-bomb” Vice President Cheney dropped on Senator Leahy. Like Cheney and Krauthammer, I will never get near the special place in heaven for those who have never used the F-word. Although I’m not as proud of this fact as Krauthammer is, it’s difficult to quarrel with his answer to this question:
“In the face of Al Gore’s breach of civil political discourse, which of the following is the right corrective: (A) Offer a reasoned refutation of the charge that Bush is both Stalinist and Hitlerian. (B) Suggest an increase in Gore’s medication. (C) Do a Cheney.”
