Today’s Rasmussen Poll has President Bush with a one-point lead over John Kerry, 48% to 47%. Bush’s 48% is his best showing since April. Rasmussen currently has the President with a 53% approval rating. Most of his recent state polls have been going Kerry’s way, but today Rasmussen released a Pennsylvania survey showing Kerry ahead by only one point.
Are the Swift Boat Vets responsible for Kerry’s dip? I doubt it, simply because I don’t think enough people have heard their message. And today’s strong showing for Bush could be random noise, a meaningless blip. But if the Swift Vets get their message out, I think Kerry is toast.
