In a mild upset, Maria Julia Mantilla Garcia, Miss Peru, was crowned Miss World a little while ago. Miss Dominican Republic was second and Miss USA third. Here is CNN’s report; and here is Miss Peru:
Mrs. Trunk is from Peru, but I’m not sure how closely she followed the contest.
