Who’s afraid of Tom Wolfe?

That’s the title of a panel discussion concerning Wolfe’s novel I am Charlotte Simmons sponsored by the excellent Independent Women’s Forum (IWF) here in Washington, D.C. The panel looks fabulous, consisting of David Brooks, John Derbyshire, Michael Dirda (a Washington Post book critic), and Christina Hoff Sommers. Charlotte Hayes of the IWF will moderate.
The event will take place tomorrow, January 18, at 1726 M Street NW, Tenth Floor. It begins at 5:00, with the discussion to commence at around 5:30. I’m hoping to attend, work load permitting.
BIG TRUNK adds: See also the IWF’s excellent blog — InkWell — featuring the work of two other notable Charlottes, Charlotte Allen and Charlotte Hays.
