Good News and Bad

Demonstrations continue in Beirut:

Freedom and peace, yes; fear, no. Turns out to be a universal human sentiment. For bad news, though, Africa continues to be pretty reliable. This story should be read in conjunction with this post from yesterday. The AP reports:

Woman and young girls who were among people that were found in a shipping container stand together in Lagos, Nigeria on Monday, March 7, 2005. Police found more than 60 children packed into a shipping container in Lagos, and a police spokesman said Monday it was believed they were to be sold as slaves or servants.

Then there’s this: “Tens of thousands raped in eastern Congo”.
Maybe sub-Saharan Africa can be next after the Middle East.
