Baseball therapy

Yesterday St. Paul Pioneer Press editorial writer Mark Yost had an outstanding piece in the Wall Street Journal on the executive who hits the Grapefruit League road to sell Louisville Slugger bats to major leaguers. The reporting was terrific, powerfully detailed, and funny. I hope the Journal will make the Yost’s column available on OpinionJournal over the weekend. In the meantime, our friends at the Claremont Institute have posted a similarly evocative piece by New Jersey writer Richard Kennedy: “Where the game is played.” Check it out.
