A green victory

Regardless of the outcome of the Dartmouth trustee election that ended on Friday (outcome pending), trustee candidates Peter Robinson and Todd Zywicki, who made the issue of free speech on campus a cenerpiece of their campaign, have won an important victory. The Dartmouth adminstration has unambiguously rolled back its speech code: “Dartmouth ends confusion over speech policies.” Thanks and congratulations to trustee T.J. Rodgers (who pressed the issue in his capacity as trustee), to Robinson and Zywicki, and to the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (click here for FIRE’s Dartmouth case materials). Is it now safe to chant “wah hoo wah” on campus?
