Howard Dean, Vermont’s gift to the Republican Party, cut loose again in a speech earlier today to the Massachusetts Democratic convention, telling the assembled delegates that House Majority Leader Tom DeLay ”ought to go back to Houston where he can serve his jail sentence.” No explanation, of course, of what in the world he was talking about. Dean’s bizarre outburst drew a rebuke from Barney Frank, who now represents the moderate wing of the increasingly lost-in-space Democratic Party.
