A reader points out that a site called Northeast Intelligence Network is reporting, allegedly based on information from law enforcement sources, that the person who blew himself up outside the Oklahoma University football stadium, Joel Henry Hinrichs III, had “Islamic jihad literature” in his apartment. Caveat: I know nothing about this site, and have no idea how reliable it is. The suggestion that Hinrichs’s death was a suicide bombing gone awry seems inconsistent with what is being reported elsewhere. Initial reports of a second explosive device turned out to be inaccurate. As one of our readers predicted, the police routinely checked a backpack they found in the area, but it turned out to be harmless.
