Has Bush Seen the Light on Illegal Immigration?
It will take more than one day's headlines to convince anyone. But it certainly will be welcome if Bush follows up his vow to "return every single illegal entrant, with no exceptions," with some concrete action.
It seems clear, though, that Bush has gotten the message that he needs to shore up his position with the party's conservative base. Now if he would just veto a couple of spending bills, we'd be making real progress.
