The Chirac doctrine

Yesterday John took a look at the monetary element of French foreign policy in “Axis of bribery.” The current issue of Middle East Quarterly carries an excellent companion piece to John’s post by freelance writer Oliver Guitta on the doctrinal basis of France’s skewed Middle East policy: “The Chirac doctrine.”
