ANWR Set To Pass

The Senate will vote tomorrow on drilling for oil in Alaska, and George Allen said on Hugh Hewitt’s show tonight that the administration has the votes to pass the measure. This is great news, although it will be some years before ANWR oil adds to the nation’s energy supply and drives down the cost of gasoline. Senator Allen also noted that if Bill Clinton hadn’t vetoed a similar measure in the 1990s, we would be pumping ANWR oil today, and gas prices would be lower.
