Realpolitik versus feelpolitik

I have just caught up with Diana West’s two columns on Secretary Rice, both mandatory reading. Last week’s column was a necessary corrective to Secretary Rice’s diplomatically skewed rendition of American history: “Mixed-up history.” Today’s column is a necessary corrective to Secretary Rice’s softsoap version of Islam: “Jihadism and denial.”

When leftists glorify themselves for speaking truth to power, West’s version isn’t what they have in mind. Neverthelss, West sets a good example in these…well, challenging columns.
