Crazies Attack WTO Meeting

Demonstrations in Hong Kong by Luddite anti-trade protesters turned scary today, as the crazies charged police lines and very nearly stormed into the building where trade representatives are meeting. Fortunately, Hong Kong police were able to repel the attackers with water cannons and pepper spray; the photo below shows some of the crazies charging police lines:

The Luddites’ level of intellectual seriousness is suggested by this AP interview:

Dressed in a chicken suit, protester Tom Grundy, 22, a teacher from Birmingham, England, said, “There was a sudden bang. I didn’t know what it was. I thought it was just a smoke screen or something, and then everyone started running.”
