Akkari Speaks

Danish Muslim scholar Ahmed Akkari, who spread the Mohammed cartoons throughout the Middle East and thereby ignited the current controversy, was interviewed by the Canadian Broadcasting Company this morning. It’s a good interview; you can read the CBC’s news story on the interview here, and also listen to the interview.
To his credit, the CBC interviewer pressed Akkari on his distribution of three illustrations that were not published in newspapers, and are much more offensive than the ones that were. (As we noted here, at least one of the three appears to be a hoax.) Akkari’s answers on this issue are incoherent; he refers to the opinion of a “Danish expert” who said “there is no manipulation of information in our dossier, so It was taken out of context and somebody is trying … to give us the guilt for what is happening.”
