Assault and defame

After Rep. Cynthia McKinney assaulted the Capitol Hill police officer who stopped her for security purposes, she mounted a public relations campaign in which defamation of the officer was key. Today’s Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports on the police report arising from the assault: “McKinney report cites ‘assault’ with closed fist.” Rep. McKinney declined to comment on the report.
