BDS diagnostics

Charles Krauthammer is the recovering psychiatrist who diagnosed the malady he dubbed “Bush Derangement Syndrome.” We have been in the midst of a massive episode of BDS among the mainstream media since this past Wednesday when Patrick Fitzgerald filed a brief describing Lewis Libby as having testified to President Bush’s declassification of the October 2002 NIE “key judgments” in July 2003. I observe below that the press hysteria over Libby’s testimony involves amnesia concerning the contemporaneous July 2003 press accounts of the declassification of the 2002 NIE. At NRO, Michael Ledeen documents an associated case of amnesia and incompetence on the part of Washington Post reporters Dafna Linzer and Barton Gellman: “Sixteen words, again.”
