A G.I.’s Eye View of an Assassination Attempt

On May 2, terrorists tried to assassinate the Governor of Al Anbar province in Iraq. A suicide bomber drove a car full of explosives into a convoy in Ramadi, west of Baghdad. Two bodyguards were killed and several others were wounded, but the Governor was unhurt.

Coincidentally, an American soldier was filming with a video camera when the attack occurred. This video, courtesy of the U.S. Army and Power Line Video, provides a brief glimpse into the Iraq war as our soldiers experience it.

UPDATE: Another DOD video reports that this was the terrorists’ 29th attempt to assassinate the Governor of Al Anbar province.
