United States Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton provided an intensely interesting interview to Pamela of Atlas Shrugs. Pajamas Media has posted the audio here. I’ve listened to the interview in its entirety several times and was most struck in the early going by Ambassador Bolton’s passing reference — consistent with my reading of the course of events resulting in the resolution adopted Friday night — to Israel’s expressed objectives in connection with a resolution early in the fighting.
The last few minutes or so of the interview address Iran and are equally interesting. Rick Richman of Jewish Current Issues transcribes a portion of Ambassador Bolton’s remarks on Iran here. In one of the answers that Rick does not transcribe, Ambassador Bolton says that Iran has been preparing for the imposition of sanctions and that the United States has been preparing to ensure that sanctions are imposed. What then?
