Hidden in plain view

Michael Vidikan writes from MEMRI with word of the latest translations. He’s isolated the red flags in the latest four. First up, an expression of enthusiasm from Hezbollah for the “enhanced UNIFIL” that is, according to Secretary Rice, the key to UN resolution 1701:

Naim Qassem, deputy secretary-general of Hizbullah: UNIFIL, according to the UN resolution and according to the implementation, will be at the service of the Lebanese army. In other words, whenever the Lebanese army needs them, it will ask for their help. They will not carry out missions on their own.

Interviewer: Is that your interpretation, or does it appear in the resolution?

Naim Qassem: It appears in the resolution. Article 12 states that UNIFIL is authorized to take all necessary action to ensure that its area of operations is not utilized for hostile activities, and to resist attempts by forceful means to prevent it from discharging its duties. This refers to hostile activities that Israel might commit, because we do not carry out hostile activities.

Qassem also calls Bush Hitler. In the following three clips we move from the puppet to the puppet master:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: If you want to have good relations with the Iranian people in the future, you should acknowledge the right and the might of the Iranian people, and you should bow and surrender to the might of the Iranian people. If you do not accept this, the Iranian people will force you to bow and surrender.

Here the puppet master’s Holocaust denial is to desensitize us to acquisition of the means for the impending Holocaust:

Exhibition of Holocaust Cartoons Opens in Iran: Mas’oud Shoja’I, exhibition curator: We have received 1,193 works from 61 countries. This proves that people throughout the world, and cartoonists in particular, know how to distinguish between the oppressor and the oppressed…

Reporter (Elham Gouran, IRINN): Holocaust – the collective burning of people alive – was mentioned twice in the course of history. The first was in Yemen, in the time between the prophecies of Jesus and the Prophet Muhammad. Back then, many Christians were burned alive, at the king’s decree, because they refused to renounce Christianity and become Jews. After World War II, claims about a holocaust were raised for the second time in history. This was nothing but a myth – a myth about the killing of six million Jews.

Can anyone connect the dots here? These folks are making it awfully difficult to avert our eyes:

Ali Larijani, secretary of the Iranian Supreme Council for National Security: Article 11 of the NPT states that if we are threatened, we can act in secret. If you want our activity to be transparent, you should not use the Security Council as leverage for your own benefit. If you do so, then according to the NPT, we are required to act in secret, in the face of your threat…

Reporter: Has Iran begun enrichment on an industrial scale, or does it have a plan to do so soon?

Ali Larijani: Iran has such a plan…We are not doing anything beyond our rights.

Is anyone paying attention?
