Trouble in paradise

Joe Malchow’s blog continues to supply indispensable coverage of the current free speech controversy at Dartmouth. No less of a free speech expert than Eugene Volokh has expressed skepticism regarding Joe’s claim that the Dartmouth administration has tried to intimidate two students into backing away from their position on a key amendment to the alumni constitution. Joe responds to Professor Volokh here. Dartmouth trustee Peter Robinson agrees with Joe that the issue of intimidation cannot be brushed aside. So does trustee (and Volokh Conspiracy contributor) Todd Zywicki. And Todd supplies historical context, including Dartmouth’s recent “lamentable” history on matter of free speech, here. Finally, here is Professor Volokh’s latest post on the subject.
