"I am Howard Dean's mother"
The New York Sun plays it straight with the news, leans to the right editorially, and covers the arts with spirit. To my surprise, I discover that Howard Dean's mom not only views the paper as I do, but feels moved to testify:
I first read your paper, the Sun, when I moved into a new apartment. I immediately decided that it was the paper for me. It has all the news, and the art section is great, but most of all, it can be read and pretty well covered at breakfast time. Also, the articles in the Sun are very well written.I'm thinking I may have to get my friends at the Claremont Institute to give Mrs. Dean a trial subscription to the Claremont Review of Books! (Thanks to Sun communications director Maggie Shnayerson for alerting us to Mrs. Dean's perspicacious testimonial.)I am Howard Dean's mother, and when Howard comes to visit, which is about every two weeks, he reads it too.
