The Ever-Expanding Definition of “Sex”

I’ve seen a lot of headlines like this one lately: “War, sex scandal sinking Republicans in polls”. Remember how, during the Clinton administration, people debated whether oral sex was “sex”? I guess that argument is over. Now, sending instant messages about oral sex is “sex.” Would the Republicans be any higher in the polls if the papers called the Foley matter an “instant message scandal”? Maybe a little.
