Republican Anne Northup, is trailing slightly (4,000 votes, one percentage point) with about 80 percent of the vote counted in her bellweather race. Republican incumbent Ron Lewis, who should be up is even, but only about 20 percent of the vote has been counted in his Kentucky race.
UPDATE: Lewis has pulled a bit ahead, but probably should be further ahead. And as Kentucky goes, so perhaps goes Indiana. Of the three big races there involving Republican incumbents, Hostetler has already been declared the loser, it looks bad for Chocola, and Souder’s race is tight [note – this should have read Sodrel] but he’s apparently running behind what he did in 2004 when he barely won (per Michael Barone).
