Vision regeneration in Dallas

I’ve written before about the “pragmatic heresy” of Robert Woodson, the founder and head of the National Center for Neighborhood Enterprise, who uses anti-liberal principles to combat inner-city violence. Typically, this involves backing inspirational figures who are working within the community, outside of the civil rights and government bureaucracies.
The Dallas Morning News reports on the success of one such inspirational figure who is backed by Woodson’s organization. He’s Omar Jahwar of Vision Regeneration, and he appears to be producing dramatic results. I noted some of these results in Dallas in the piece linked to above. Jahwar even has ex-Dallas Cowboys Nate Newton and Deion Sanders working with him (I’m a Redskins fan, but won’t hold that against him).
Read the whole, uplifting thing.
