On the regional war

Over the past several years Michael Ledeen has strenuously argued that the question “How can we win in Iraq?” is the wrong question. According to Ledeen, once you start formulating an answer you’re trapped in Wittgenstein’s fly-bottle. Ledeen formulates the real question as “How do we win the war in the Middle East?” This is the case he made most recently in his NRO column last week anticipating the work of the Baker-Hamilton Commission:
