Downward Spiral at the L.A. Times

Hugh Hewitt and others have pointed out that the Los Angeles Times has seen one of the sharpest circulation declines of any newspaper. Now, the Los Angeles Business Journal (available by subscription only) reports that advertisers have taken note:

Several major advertisers want rate cuts on display advertising in the Los Angeles Times due to a drop in the newspaper’s readership. Buyers for Macy’s, one of the newspaper’s largest advertisers, and some big local auto dealers say they will try to leverage the lower circulation figures when they cut their deals for 2007.

Left-wing bias: it’s not only wrong, it’s expensive!
